Finished projects 2015

1. In January I sewed up a quick gift for a 7-year-old. The bag design was my own as I went, and the stitchery on the front pocket was from an Anni Downs pattern.

2. I had an opportunity again to stitch some sample blocks for designer Rosalie Quinlan... I completed five of her little 'United Stitches' stitchery squares for her in April/May.

3. In July I blogged about machine-quilting a 'post and rail' quilt I had made my Dad... I gifted this to him in August, but forgot to blog about it! I started this quilt in 2014, so it was good to get this done.

4. In September I quickly made a cape for Sofia, my own design and a smaller and individualised version of her brother's cape.

5. As the weather started warming up in October, I upcycled four of Alex's worn out or too short jeans into shorts :) I'm counting these as a finish!

6/7. Christmas gifts for the kids... no patterns again for these, just my own playing around with fabric and having some fun (until I had to battle eye-holes in masks... then not quite as much fun). A set of four Ninja-Turtle masks with bag for Alex, and a 'pouch' bag for Sofia.

8. A Boy's Story quilt (designed by Anni Downs). After four long years, at last this one is complete :) Applique and stitchery all done by hand, machine pieced and then hand-quilted. I hope this is one Alex treasures in years to come!!

I started 2015 hoping for around 10 items completed, including 2 UFO's... I didn't quite get there, ending the year with 8 completed items - however I also moved State again unexpectedly! Finishing Dad's quilt and also A Boy's Story definitely contribute towards to UFO's, so I'm pretty happy with that.
